WHC Hire Services's HAVmeter device has been handed the health and safety award at the Hire Awards of Excellence. The tool is designed to help prevent injuries in businesses that use warning signs.

The device helps to protect workers against the potential hazards of using industrial power tools and vibrating equipment by precisely tracking the amount of time that specialists are exposed to the contraptions, according to MHWMagazine.co.uk.

James Clutterbuck, director of WHC Hire Services, said: "There are a lot of devices on the market that claim to reduce injury and monitor the vibration levels that workers are exposed to, but none of them are anywhere near as good as the HAVmeter. It is miles ahead of the rest of its competitors."

The tool particularly protects employees from Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome.

It comes after the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents advised businesses to consider hiring a health and safety consultant in an effort to improve safety in their workplaces.ADNFCR-2754-ID-800577987-ADNFCR
