Azea has given a Balfour Beatty worker a certificate of commendation after they were found to have put their health and safety training into practice in two incidents.

Bruce Durham, director of training at Azea, presented the accreditation to the OHL delivery manager of the group, after he administered CPR on a colleague in the Scottish highlands and assisted at the scene of a road accident two days later.

"We are extremely proud to present this certificate of commendation to this manager within Balfour Beatty who showed courage and bravery during two life threatening situations. We are delighted that he was able to act quickly during both pressured situations and his actions made a real difference," Mr Durham stated.

This news comes after a Dublin employee received an award from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) after setting up a course to teach young professionals about protecting themselves at work.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801509578-ADNFCR
