Our enormous choice of Materials and Sizes

Wherever possible our products are all available in a choice of 15 types of material. If we haven't listed the choice you want on the site - it is probably still possible, just give us a call on 0845 527 1625 and we'll be able to advise you.

Self Adhesive Vinyl (Code = V)

Signs using this material are printed on to a thin (around 70 micron), plasticised film, backed with a permanent acrylic based adhesive. It comes supplied with a backing paper, which is removed before application. It is suitable for application to clean, smooth surfaces both internally and externally.

1mm Rigid PVC (Code = 1M)

Signs using this material are printed on to 1mm thick PVC. This material is suitable for application, either with screws or double-sided adhesive pads (see our sign fixtures and fittings section), to flat surfaces either internally or externally.

3mm Rigid PVC (Code = 3M)

Signs using this material are printed on to 3mm thick PVC (Foamex or similar). It is suitable for application, either with screws or double-sided adhesive pads (see our sign fixtures and fittings section) to posts or any surface where the sign must support its own weight.

Correx Corrugated Plastic 5mm (Code = 5C)

This is a 5mm corrugated plastic sign. Made from fluted polypropylene and often described using the brand name "correx" it uses less material and is easily recyclable. This makes correx an environmentally sustainable choice for temporary signs, very stiff in the direction of the flutes or corrugations, less so in the other orientation. With a low shipping weight, carbon emmisions are minimised in delivery and as it's polypropylene, is fully recyclable.

Photoluminescent (Code = P)

By storing energy from ambient light sources, this material 'glows in the dark' and in the event of a power failure, requires no power or batteries to remain highly visible. Photoluminescent performance of our materials is in excess of the PSPA (Photoluminescent Safety Products Association) class B when tested to the relevant DIN 67510 pt 1 specification. Often specified for Fire Exit signs - it means the exit route remains visible in dark or smoke filled environments. Signs using this material are made up of several layers of printing on to 1mm PVC, giving a final thickness of around 1.5mm. This material is suitable for application, either with screws or double-sided adhesive pads (see our sign fixtures and fittings section) to flat surfaces either internally of externally.

High Tack Vinyl (Code = HV)

A stickier sticker. High Tack Vinyl uses a stronger adhesive than our standard vinyl. This makes it more suitable for plastic surfaces like Wheelie Bins or where the product is more likely to be rubbed. It does not use the Air Release system that our standard vinyl stickers use, this system allows you to push out air bubbles after you have applied the sticker, if this is important to you you may want to choose standard Vinyl.

Brushed brass effect self adhesive vinyl (Code = GV)

This 'gold' appearance material is used in our 'distinctive' range of signs. It gives a very high quality finish which will blend into the most prestigious décor and surroundings. These signs are self-adhesive and suitable for mounting to smooth flat surfaces, both internally and externally.

Brushed metal/stainless steel effect self adhesive vinyl (Code = SV)

This 'silver' appearance material is used in our 'distinctive' range of signs. It gives a very high quality finish which will blend into the most prestigious décor and surroundings. These signs are self-adhesive and suitable for mounting to smooth flat surfaces, both internally and externally.

Brushed brass effect 1mm semi-rigid PVC (Code = G)

This 'gold' appearance material is used in our 'distinctive' range of signs. It gives a very high quality finish which will blend into the most prestigious décor and surroundings. This range comes with a self-adhesive backing as a standard method of fixing suitable for mounting to flat surfaces, only for internal use.

Brushed stainless steel effect 1mm semi-rigid PVC (Code = S)

This 'silver' appearance material is used in our 'distinctive' range of signs. It gives a very high quality finish which will blend into the most prestigious décor and surroundings. This range comes with a self-adhesive backing as a standard method of fixing suitable for mounting to flat surfaces, only for internal use.

Marine Grade brushed 1mm stainless steel (Code = MS)

Signs specified with 316 marine grade stainless steel are manufactured using this premium material, which gives an unsurpassed quality of finish. Often specified by Architects and interior designers, the finish on brushed stainless makes for either a contemporary / modern or classic / timeless sign depending on font styles. This range comes with a self-adhesive backing as a standard method of fixing. Suitable for mounting to flat surfaces, both internally or externally.

3mm Aluminium Composite (Code = AC)

This ultra durable material is comprised of a polyester core and 2 skins of 0.2mm aluminium stove enamelled with a white face. This material is an excellent choice for either larger signs or applications where the sign must be self supporting such as mounting to a fence. Suitable for mounting to all surfaces, both internally or externally. Aluminium composite is suitable for fitting either with screws or double-sided adhesive pads (see our sign fixtures and fittings section).

Double sided 3mm PVC (Code = 3D)

Using the same 3mm PVC material as above but printed on both sides for hanging sign applications such as fire exits.

1mm Flexible Magnetic (Code = MG)

Used for signs which will be mounted to a metal background, which can be removed and replaced at will. Main application is for hazard warning diamonds on vehicles.
