Bikers in Horsham are ignoring safety signs in the area, with one councillor urging for a safety campaign to be started in order to rectify the issue.

Christine Costin's concerns arose after a local man contacted her, saying that he was almost hit by reckless cyclists in the region who were ignoring warning signs erected around them, according to the West Sussex Gazette.

Ms Costin said: "Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians should be able to go about their business without the fear of confrontation with road users who have no understanding of what their actions could mean to other people."

She noted that cyclists should be expected to show consideration and proper responsibility towards other road users and pedestrians.

It comes after Lancashire resident Karen Paton contacted the Lancashire Evening Post to stress her grievances regarding the lack of warning signs on the A584 Preston New RoadADNFCR-2754-ID-800746381-ADNFCR
