Burnt Tree has collected a safety honour from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

Fleet News has reported that the company worked one million man hours without any notable accidents or incidents at its Shrewsbery head office or any of its other 19 branches in England, Scotland and Wales.

It is now working towards the objective of achieving two million accident and incident-free man-hours throughout its premises.

Richard Metcalfe, chief executive of Burnt Tree, said: "The RoSPA Awards go back over 57 years and is the largest and longest running programme of its kind in the UK.

"It is pleasing that Burnt Tree’s long-term approach to effective occupational health and safety has been recognised by such an important organisation, supporting our serious commitment to accident and ill-health prevention."

February 2012 was the last month when a reportable incident took place at one of the business' premises.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801651091-ADNFCR
