The Community Gateway Association (CGA) has been handed the gold standard award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), which is an honour that may be bestowed upon companies that use effective safety signage.

When assessing CGA, RoSPA took many factors into account, such as its health and safety management input, output and its enforcement record, reports 24Dash.com.

John Bennett CGA health, safety and environmental manager who received the award in Birmingham , told the news provider: "Achieving the RoSPA gold award highlights the importance we place on health and safety at CGA."

Mr Bennett also noted that all of the company's employees are involved in its health and safety strategy, meaning that the award is for the entire organisation and is recognition of its progress.

Yodel is another company that has been honoured with a RoSPA gold award.

The parcel delivery company has enforced a number of measures, helping its three-day injuries drop by more than 41 per cent in a year.ADNFCR-2754-ID-800635679-ADNFCR
