City Developments has won the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents’ (RoSPA) Environmental Award.

The honour recognises the company’s environmental management, with the real estate developer being given the award at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel on May 15th.

The accolade recognises excellence in environmental and health and safety management and was sponsored by the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company.

David Rawlins, RoSPA's awards manager, said: “City Developments Limited was selected as the winner of the International Dilmun Environmental Award in recognition of its strategic management of environmental concerns which are integrated at the very heart of its overarching management systems and decision making.”

RoSPA believes companies have a fundamental role to play in boosting and protecting the environment, and it hopes the award will encourage other organisations to adopt the same approach.

Across this year, there were 2,000 entries for the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards, with judging still ongoing for groups that are aiming for recognition at the RoSPA Scotland ceremony in September.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801588266-ADNFCR
