Cornwall road quickly closed following reopening

A spine road that links Pool with an extension to the Tolvaddon Energy Park is closed.

It was initially opened in June in a bid to develop a safe pedestrian and cycle route between Tolvaddon and Pool Academy, according to West Briton.

A bus gate was fitted at the Pool end, but access is blocked by warning signs and barriers at the moment.

A Cornwall Council representative told the news provider: "The road was never intended to be used as a short cut for vehicles travelling from Pool to the A30 and as such, the section of road at the Church Road end is restricted to buses only and is controlled by an automatic rising bollard."

New signs have also been introduced to a road in Sheffield, with local newspaper the Star reporting that white lines have been removed from roads on the Wisewood Estate to be replaced by warning notices and road markings.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801469140-ADNFCR
