Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service has collected an award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

The authority has been praised for the way it has handled occupational health and safety, as it is the third year in a row that the organisation has been recognised for its work in protecting the wellbeing of staff, reports Burton Mail.

Speaking to the news provider, Sean Frayne, the service’s chief fire officer, said: “Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service is pleased to once again have its health and safety management system acknowledged by RoSPA.

“Being highly commended in the emergency services sector is a real achievement.”

He also noted that the award recognises every individual within the service who has played their part in making occupational health and safety a priority.

Recently, RoSPA teamed up with Sportscover in an effort to improve quality and safety in Britain’s sport and leisure sector.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801603590-ADNFCR
