ECSA aims to prevent child injuries with report cards

The European Child Safety Alliance (ECSA) has announced that it will start to issue Child Safety Report Cards.

These will cover more than 30 European countries at the European Parliament in Strasburg and will aim to analyse safety measures relating to children and young people by assessing the implementation of national policies that address accidental injuries.

A number of safety areas will be covered, ranging from passenger safety, motor scooter and moped safety, pedestrian safety and cycling safety.

The publication of these cards is part of a number of efforts to monitor child injuries through ECSA's Tools to Address Childhood Trauma, Injury and Children’s Safety project.

Last month, WhatHouse.co.uk reported that Larkfleet Homes also focused on the topic of child safety by holding two health and safety assemblies at a Lincolnshire school as a means of teaching students about the dangers of playing on building sites and explaining the meaning of safety signs to them.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801379259-ADNFCR
