Hampton resident calls for safety action after car crash

A Hampton woman whose property sustained substantial damage after a car collided into it last year has urged for action to be taken to stop the same incident happening again.
Molly Bartlett told the Solihull Observer there are too many lorries travelling through the village on the B4102, noting that one of the vehicles recently crashed into a wall around the churchyard, hitting a telegraph pole and causing tiles to fall from a house's roof to the pavement.
It is important for drivers of such vehicles to be aware of their environment and lower their speed if necessary to avoid such accidents.
Speaking to the news provider, Ms Bartlett said: "I contacted Solihull Council and sent photos to them as there have been several accidents and I believe it should be a restricted road.
"They put flashing warning signs up after the car crashed into my house last year and I think it's made a bit of difference, but why are lorries coming through here?"
