RSA has handed Horsham District Council its Gold Workplace Health Award after the authority maintained a healthy environment at its offices.

The organisation has attained substantial real progress in creating comprehensive support systems for employees, ranging from flexible hours to benefit trading and cycle storage, reports the West County Times.

Tony Bough, health & safety manager of RSA, told the news provider: "Investing in the wellbeing of our most important resource is really key to our success in keeping RSA as one of the top UK businesses.

"We are really grateful for all the efforts of our Wellbeing Champion Debbie Bourne in securing this award."

Mr Bough added that it is important for a productive work environment to be created for workers.

This news comes after Trent and Dove Housing picked up the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents' (RoSPA) Platinum award.

The accolade is the second highest level in the charity's Quality Safety Audit award scheme.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801536518-ADNFCR
