HSE Passport announces new health and safety blog

20th October 2011 | Warning Signs

HSE Passport has launched a new blog, which aims to improve companies' awareness of legislation relating to health and safety (H&S) as well as warning signs.

The group's work can help businesses to ensure they avoid substantial fines, while creating money savings by guaranteeing that staff have at least a rudimentary level of health and safety training.

Guy Schrecker, general manager, HSE Passport said: "More and more companies are stipulating that agency or temporary workers can demonstrate that they have basic H&S training before starting an assignment, so holding a HSE Passport should put them in front of the competition and help them to win work."

The new industry blog will act as a resource area for health and safety specialists, Mr Schrecker noted.

His statements follow the news that an illustration of a new cartoon character has collected top prize at the Occupational Safety and Health's (IOSH) National Food and Drink Health and Safety Awards.

The drawing aims to notify workers of the protective equipment they are required to wear.ADNFCR-2754-ID-800764274-ADNFCR
