The HSE Recruitment Network is working with Mencap to boost awareness of its Safety Challenge Scheme.

As part of the initiative, workers are asked to identify and report potential hazards in their workplace, with every reported near miss leading to a donation from the recruitment firm to Mencap, reports SHPOnline.

The scheme follows the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health's (IOSH) plea for employers to report work-related traffic accidents in order to cut down on the number of deaths and injuries among people travelling to their job.

Marie Brown, regional manager at Mencap, told the news provider: "Mencap are very excited about working with the team at HSE Recruitment, as it will allow two like-minded organisations to work together to help people with learning disability through our flagship partnership."

Ms Brown explained that she is "sure" the partnership will become a great success for all those involved.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801502632-ADNFCR
