A city centre businessman has suggested that the introduction of a street sign among his road's warning signs will boost business.
The Business Improvement District has upgraded a selection of signs in Preston, but Fred Rolfe from the Lune Street Chippy has been petitioning for a sign to promote the shops on his street, according to the Lancashire Evening Post.
Mr Rolfe told the newspaper: "There is one advertising Cannon Street and one for Theatre Street but nothing for us. I have asked but they just say it is in with the planning."
He went on to say that trade has suffered over the last year, with many businesses now struggling.
Earlier this week, Phoenix Health and Safety announced that a new training venue has been introduced.
This premises is situated in Southampton, marking the first of its kind in the south of England, and could be pivotal in helping firms adjust their safety procedures.
