Lancashire County Council has been urged to put up road signs in Colne to prevent lorries from travelling on it.
Pendle Council is set to hold a meeting with the authority in the next few weeks in a bid to discuss the issue, with leader Joe Cooney telling the Lancashire Telegraph that complaints regarding the traffic have been heard for several months.
"Signposts with the weight limit are displayed but most drivers follow their sat navs and don't pay attention to the signs. The correct route for the larger vehicles is along Skipton Road to North Valley Road," Mr Cooney told the news provider.
He went on to say that the increased noise, air pollution and congestion are causing issues for locals.
It is vital that drivers pay attention to road signs as well as their sat navs, as the devices will not always pick up on individual rules for roads.
