Leicestershire gardeners win right to keep signs

Two gardeners from Leicestershire have won a battle to keep their signs.

Paul and Susan Barratt, who have been running their business for over a decade, believe that they are £8,000 out of pocket as a result of legal costs after battling to keep the notices for the last six years, reports the Leicester Mercury.

“We have placed the signs on the verges for more than a decade. Other businesses place advertising signs on the highway in the village. We feel we are the only ones to be on the receiving end of the council,” Mr Barratt told the news provider.

He went on to say that he was forced to continually fight for the right to advertise the business, emphasising that the signs were vital for the business to be visible.

Signs can make a key difference for businesses, especially those in rural areas, so they must be maintained properly.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801607454-ADNFCR
