Lorien Engineering Solutions collects new safety award

Lorien Engineering Solutions has picked up a number of awards to recognise its workplace safety efforts.
The company, which is based in Centrum 100, Burton, received its 21st the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Gold award, along with its seventh Order of Distinction honour for high performance in construction health and safety.
Lorien operations director Bill Treddenick said: “As this is the 21st year we have achieved the ‘Gold’ standard with RoSPA, the award means a lot to the people within our business. It demonstrates both the consistency in our performance, as well as our drive for continuous improvement.”
Mr Treddenick went on to say that the honour recognises a company’s health and safety record and looks at how a business is developing its systems and personnel.
Health and safety honours can help to significantly boost the reputation of businesses, which can give them the edge over their rivals in the market.
