Mid Suffolk district councillor John Matthissen has called for better safety measures to be brought to Combs Lane after three serious accidents in less than a year.
Bury Free Press has reported that Mr Matthissen wants "accident blackspot" warning signs to be erected on the road and has requested accident reports for the collisions from police.
Safety has also been a concern on Shoreham Beach, with the Shoreham Herald reporting that West Sussex County Council has agreed to improve signage following a number of incidents on an S-bend near a local primary school.
"Two accidents could possibly be a coincidence, three is statistically very unlikely. I am concerned for my constituents who drive along that road every day," Mr Matthissen explained to the news provider.
Signs warning motorists of the temporary road surface in the area have been introduced, but Mr Matthissen believes that "more still needs to be done".
