With the big freeze well and truly gripping the UK, most drivers are taking extra care when out on the icy roads.
Not so for some motorists in north Somerset, though, who are happily ignoring warning signs telling them a road is closed due to dangerous conditions.
According to the Chard and Ilminster News, the A30 at Windwhistle was closed last night (Tuesday December 7th) due to snow and ice.
But this hasn't deterred some drivers, who are willing to put their safety at risk.
A reporter from the newspaper, Steve Sowden, was travelling close to the road and spotted the warning signs.
"A number of cars just ignored the signs and carried on," he said.
"More sensible motorists turned back."
To avoid skidding on snow or ice, the RAC advises motorist to avoid heavy braking, using the gears to slow down.
It's important to drive in the highest gear possible, the association said.
