The National Federation of Builders’ (NFB) Stay Safe, Stay Away campaign has been nominated for a Best Practice Award by the Trade Association Forum.
The competition is now in its tenth year and allows schoolchildren throughout the country to take part by designing a poster or writing a short story. It runs in tandem with Child Safety Week (June 24th-30th).
Julia Evans, chief executive of the NFB, said: “I am delighted that our campaign goes from strength to strength every year. Every child who learns about the dangers of building sites is a child saved from injury or worse.
“Our members are committed to delivering the highest standard of practice and widely support the campaign so being shortlisted for such a prestigious award will be not only motivational to staff, but inspiring to members.”
Businesses should ensure their safety processes are as efficient as possible, or staff could be put at risk of injury or even death.
