Key members of the food and drink manufacturing world gathered in Oxfordshire this week in a bid to boost health and safety in the industry.
The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) hosted the event at the Oxford Belfry Hotel at Milton Common on October 8th and 9th, where there were appearances from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Electrical Safety UK Limited.
As part of the event, the IOSH Food and Drink Group introduced an electrical safety training package featuring a DVD to target operatives and managers working in the industry.
IOSH food and drink group chair Jackie Wooldridge said: "I really hope that this training package, which is free of charge and available to download from the IOSH website, will be embraced by the industry and used by safety practitioners and others to raise awareness."
The conference also showcased the National Food and Drink Health and Safety Awards 2013.
