Redrow Homes has been handed a safety gold award due to its continuously positive attitude to health and safety, which may prompt businesses to analyse the usefulness of their safety signage.

Liverpool entrepreneur Steve Morgan founded the business and now the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) has honoured the company's previous six safety awards by handing over the prestigious gold award, according to the Liverpool Daily Post.

Redrow group health and safety director Bob Sayers told the newspaper: "Having robust health and safety procedures in place and adhering to them constantly is essential, and we rely on the input and co-operation of every member of staff and all of our sub-contractors."

Taking pride in successfully completed jobs is also at the heart of Redrow's operations, Mr Sayers added.

His comments come after AboutMyArea.co.uk reported that Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service (CFRS) has been awarded a formal health and safety accreditation by the British Standards Institution.

CFRS has focused on the reporting and investigation of accidents in order to ensure that health and safety standards are improved for its workers.ADNFCR-2754-ID-800603016-ADNFCR
