The warning signs currently in place at the River Wharfe are in line for a review after the death of an eight-year-old child.
Matthew Stead, a representative of the Bolton Abbey estate is now taking action to ensure that signs at the North Yorkshire spot are more effective, according to the Wharfedale Observer.
Speaking to the newspaper, coroner Rob Turnbull said: "Leaflets are handed out explaining where bathing is not recommended and of the danger of the river rising quickly and that bathing a certain areas was at their own risk."
Mr Turnbull added that any new warning signs at the site must strike a balance between denying access to the river while guaranteeing safety and enjoyment for visitors.
In an article for the Burton Mail, Stretton resident Nina Coates has called for new warning signs to be installed near the River Dove amid safety concerns over children.
