Historic signposts in the Roseland have been brought out of disrepair as part of a new initiative.

Cornwall Council member of the region Julian German has restored the signs with help from the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) team, reports West Briton.

Speaking to the news provider, Mr German said: "I am delighted to have been involved in this restoration project which has received such enthusiastic local support.

"It shows how much communities on the Roseland value their landscape and, in particular, its historic features."

Funding for the project has been provided by the Cornwall AONB team, Defra and Mr German's own financial sources.

While The Roseland is seeing signs being restored to a better condition, the Fulham Chronicle has reported how signage has been reported missing in council blocks on the West Kensington and Gibbs Green Estates.

Broken door handles were also witnessed in the area, which has left many residents with worries over their safety.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801362080-ADNFCR
