The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents' (RoSPA) Occupational Safety Awards are to take place in three new locations in 2014.

It is believed that more than 1,500 awards will be presented next year, with 4,000 winners and their guests expected to attend the organisation's daytime ceremonies and evening banquets.

These will take place at the Birmingham Metropole Hotel, ExCel London and the Hilton Glasgow Hotel.

Tom Mullarkey, chief executive of the 97-year-old safety charity, said: "Our awards encourage the raising of accident and ill health prevention standards across the board and those who have gained recognition for their achievements, particularly during tough economic conditions."

Mr Mullarkey went on to say that the awards are a key fixture in the health and safety calendar, showcasing organisations' ongoing commitment to sustaining an impressive record when it comes to preventing accidents and injury.

For the ninth year in a row, the headline sponsor for the awards is NEBOSH (the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health). ADNFCR-2754-ID-801654552-ADNFCR
