The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) has issued a call for papers ahead of its Road Safety Seminar 2013.

The showcase will assess the potential of new and emerging methods to provide road safety initiatives, covering possible channels such as social media, black box monitoring and public health projects.

News of RoSPA's road safety project comes after the Construction Index reported that BAM Construct was awarded a gold medal by the organisation.

The Road Safety Seminar will take place next March and arrive as the charity's 78th annual gathering for road safety researchers, practitioners and policymakers.

Kevin Clinton, RoSPA’s head of road safety, said: "With road fatalities showing their first increase since 2003, and with significantly reduced resources available for road safety, RoSPA’s 2013 Road Safety Seminar will examine the potential for new and emerging methods."

Mr Clinton added that new technologies, engagement methods and ways of working will be examined at the event.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801460351-ADNFCR
