Safety signs are to be introduced in Winterton to help stop the confusion caused by road humps in the area.
These were launched in a bid to reduce the speeds of vehicles in the area, though they are also used by pedestrians to cross the road, reports the Scunthorpe Telegraph.
The signs will read "stop, look and listen", notifying people that cars do not have to give way for them if they decide to cross in the area.
North Lincolnshire councillor Ralph Ogg, a ward member for Winterton, told the news provider: "We had calls of concern from residents. We were worried that children were not considering the traffic when crossing the road."
Mr Ogg added that the scheme will help to decrease the speed of traffic in the area.
It is vital that pedestrians look out for the signs before crossing the road, or they could put themselves in danger of being injured.
