A primary school in Bury was recently closed after it was enveloped by a cloud of dust, which may prompt the development of new safety signage.

Its population of 300 pupils were sent home from St John With St Mark Primary School in Bury due to the dust, which covered both the building and its playground, according to the Manchester Evening News.

A spokesperson from Bury Council told the newspaper: "We are aware of the incident and the company informed the Health and Safety Executive and the local NHS as well in case anyone reports any health problems."

The representative continued by saying that they believe there to be no health risk involved in the incident.

Last week, postal workers at the Royal Mail were ordered to boycott deliveries in Benfleet, Essex, as a result of uneven road surfaces.

Residents in the region complained that they were not given any warning about the action.ADNFCR-2754-ID-800787713-ADNFCR
