Stratford boy aims to introduce safety sign

A Stratford boy is aiming to introduce safety sign outside his school to warn road users of children in the area.

Speaking to Stratford-Herald.com, Callum Whittington said that the roads around Stratford Primary School in Broad Street were dangerous.

He wrote to the outgoing chairman of the authority, Rev Neville Beamer about the situation.

“Drivers are far too fast down Broad Walk and are not taking enough care around that area. Possibly if the sign showed that there was a school there, then people in the area would know,” Callum said.

Commenting on the situation, councillor Beamer agreed with the youngster and explained that he will do his “very best” to get some signs.

It is important that locals speak up about any concerns they have about safety signs in their area, as authorities will then be able to address them quickly and effectively.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801587555-ADNFCR
