A bus driver from Stratford on Avon has been given a new award from the Road Operator Safety Council (ROSCO).

Kevin Bridges from Johnsons Coach and Bus Travel was presented with the honour after spending 35 years behind the wheel without any accidents or road traffic offences, reports Stratford Observer.

Speaking to the newspaper, Mr Bridges said: "No two days of driving buses are the same as I cover all the Stratford routes which include town journeys with lots of traffic - to countryside routes with tractors and livestock in the road.

"I am really proud of my record for 35 years of continuous road safety and am pleased that safe driving is acknowledged by ROSCO and Johnsons."

Recently, Cardiff police officers Sarah-Jane Bailey and Nick Bellamy collected an award for their work on the StaySafe project.

The Trust's Royal Patron, HRH Princess Anne presented the accolades at a ceremony held at Buckingham Palace.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801566475-ADNFCR
