Trees obscuring Peterborough road signs

27th July 2012 | Warning Signs

Posted by Ben Alexander

Warning signs for motorists in Peterborough have been obscured by trees and hedgerows.

Enterprise Peterborough is responsible for taking care of the verges, and has confirmed that it will analyse the situation during the coming weeks, reports Peterborough Today.

A representative from the group told the news provider: "There is a team surveying all the trees to see what work is needed to get road signs clear.

"With some of it being on the parkways it will be a difficult task because we will have to close down a lane."

The signposts have been especially detrimental to workers on the A15 towards Yaxley, with many motorists finding the signage to be unreadable.

Road signs are vital when it comes to ensuring the safety of motorists, but many drivers in Plymouth are ignoring one notice in the area.

A "no left turn" installation has been fitted in the city, with one homeowner telling the Plymouth Herald that the disregard of the signage is "frightening at times".ADNFCR-2754-ID-801416622-ADNFCR
