Unicorn warning signs in Wales?

23rd August 2011 | Warning Signs

Drivers in west Wales have been shocked recently by new warning signs on the road, which indicate that unicorns are in the region.

A triangular sign at the side of the A487 displays a silhouette of the creature. However, the sign was initially meant to notify people of horses in the area, before a graffiti artist made changes, reports Wales On Sunday.

The newspaper reports that it is not the first amusing sign to be seen on the roads, as a stop sign has been digitally manipulated to include MC Hammer lyrics, while a male toilet sign was modified to feature Wolverine and Professor Xavier from X-Men.

An article for the BBC reported earlier this month that foreign warning signs that notify migrant employees of a Worcestershire road diversion have been removed.

They were installed on a Blackminster level crossing, but were removed as they do not meet "prescribed standards".ADNFCR-2754-ID-800707639-ADNFCR
