Vandals have sprayed graffiti over signs across Whittlesey in Peterborough.

A sign in Crescent Close was sprayed on Saturday night (August 11th), while the road and bollards at the junction with Coronation Avenue were also painted, reports Peterborough Today.

PC Becky Welberry, who is investigating the incidents, told the newspaper: "The offenders appeared to have started near to Sir Harry Smith Community College and moved out of town.

"This spate of vandalism has caused a lot of inconvenience for residents living in the area and I would urge anyone who saw what happened to call police."

Anyone who has any information regarding the incidents has been urged to call the local police or get in touch with Crimestoppers.

The vandalism comes after local Bristol newspaper The Post reported that tourist signs directing visitors to Wraxall Zoo have been illegally painted.

These were situated on B3128 Clevedon Road and were sprayed with black paint.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801429215-ADNFCR
