Walthamstow residents frustrated over new parking zones

Walthamstow homeowners have accused their local authority of betraying its promise to only introduce Controlled Parking Zones, and their associated warning signs, where they are backed by residents.

People on St Barnabas Road claim that there is widespread opposition to the permit laws, which will cost them between £22.50 to £120 on an annual basis if they own one car, reports the Waltham Forest Guardian.

Households in the nearby Queen's Road and Lansdowne Road areas have supported the new regulations, but those condemning the move have decided to take action by launching a petition.

Speaking to the news provider, petition organiser Abi Gulzar, 39, said: "I'm so angry it makes me want to go out and take them down. We've had no communication from them at all and they've ignored our views."

It follows an article for the Flintshire Chronicle, which reported that an interactive sign has been fitted in Flintshire.

The installation will aim to lower the number of speeding incidents in the Deeside region.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801211172-ADNFCR
