Warning signs will be installed around Skegness Railway Station's plaza in order to prevent people from playing on its sculptures.

The action comes after a teenage boy was taken to hospital after he fell when riding on one of the new wave designs present at the site, leading to a cordon being implemented, reports the BBC.

Commenting on the incident, an East Midlands Trains representative said: "Our immediate thoughts are with the boy who has been injured and we wish him all the best for a quick recovery."

The spokesperson explained that the train company will be working alongside Lincolnshire County Council and Network Rail in order to find ways of stopping future misuse of the plaza.

Youngsters at Buckingham Primary School have put safety under the spotlight recently, with the Bicester Advertiser and Review reporting that a group of year 6 pupils have established a health and safety team.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801299172-ADNFCR
