Yeovil's Orchard Gymnastics group has been presented with its third major award of 2011, highlighting the rewards that can be handed over to firms with efficient approaches to safety signage.

The club has been handed British Gymnastics' Gym Mark accolade, which was given to them at the Somerset Festival of Movement earlier this month, according to This Is The West Country.

It recognises the club's high standards in child welfare, health and safety, staff training and management.

Coaching director Barry Phelan, a former national gymnastics champion and Commonwealth finalist, told the news provider: "We have hardly paused for breath this year and this is further recognition of the huge steps the club has taken in a relatively short period."

This month, the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) handed a lifetime award to Dr Paul Oldershaw for his commitment to the health and safety sector.

IOSH described him as an integral figure in British occupational hygiene. ADNFCR-2754-ID-800777709-ADNFCR
