Simpler recycling signs
Under the UK's Simpler Recycling legislation, effective from 31 March 2025, businesses are required to separate specific recyclable materials from general waste. To comply and encourage proper waste segregation, it is essential to have clear and visible signage within the workplace. This signage should guide employees and visitors on how to dispose of waste correctly.
All businesses must now comply (except 'micro-firms' who are exempt until 2027)
As a minimum, waste needs to be separated into:
- dry recyclable materials - plastic, metal, glass, paper and card
- food waste
- black bin waste (residual waste)
Further separation maybe be required by each waste collector.
